Leo Aether: “Lost in Laberintos”

Hello all!

As promised, here is the documentary-style video of the #Laberintos recordings. This will let you see a bit of the process and the people responsible for this album. Lots of hard work and lots of love.

This video is a little homage to all of the people who contributed to the “Laberintos” project. Hope you all enjoy it!

Thank you for everything!

Even more surprises are coming, so stay tuned!!

New Single: “Ice”

Here is another dose of Urbe Prima! This time, the new single, “Ice”, is just the right amount of electro-rock.

This is a remake of the track in Torpes Intentos de Libertad, Urbe Prima’s 1st album. Along with Vendetta, this song was recorded in the “Laberintos” sessions. In “Ice”, I had fun experimenting with sequences and such, and are solely responsible for all arrangements and instrumentation… what can I say? my brain is playful.

This release is a preamble for this Friday, September 13th show at the Will’s Pub, where I will be playing my electric-tronic set at Tacatantán Records’ Megacock Rock Fest 2, alongside Los Nadie from Puerto Rico, Minimal from Miami, and Doomino from Orlando! This year’s festival will be out of control!

Lots of surprises are coming soon, so stay tuned for all Urbe Prima is bringing.

Thanks for listening, see you soon!

Album Review: Laberintos

Album Review: Urbe Prima – Laberintos by Eric J – Rock en Espanol USA / WPRK 91.5 FM Rollins College Radio, Winter Park Fl

Agosto 5, 2013

Leo Aether @ Timucua

Hola!

Hey guys, here is some video footage of a few songs in my last performance at The Timucua Arts White House. Here you will see a piano version of “Cuando Decimos Adiós”, as well as a tribute performance with much love and respect of “Juancito Caminador”, a song inspired by the poem of Argentinian Raúl González Tuñón. I learnt this beautiful song from an interpretation by La Negra Grande, Mercedes Sosa.

Big thanks to Benoit Glazer for putting this vid together!

Enjoy!

The Impact of The Arts in The Community: Timucua Arts White House

Hello!

Urbe Prima’s next show will happen at The Timucua Arts White House, one of the treasures of the city of Orlando, where music and art have a home for them to be, to truly be. I am very humbled to have the opportunity of sharing my songs in this venue, and wanted to give a little insight as to what you can expect on July 14th.

Here is a review by the Orlando Weekly on this remarkable place:

“The performance space in Benoit Glazer’s home is exquisite, from the brick walls around the stage to the seating balconies to the lighting on the visual artwork. Fill that with the noise of some of the best jazz, classical and experimental acts active today, and we can thank god the musical director for Cirque du Soleil and his musically prodigious family invite the public to share this gift for free. It’s a simple, classy gesture that keeps Orlando from being the cultural wasteland everyone thinks it is.”

Also, here is a TED-talk with The Timucua Arts White House’s founder, and musical director of Cirque de Soleil, Benoit Glazer, and his family, as they describe their fearless journey to create a place for music and art to be shared, all from their living room:

Hope this little write-up encourages you to support this amazing initiative! For more info on their upcoming events, just got to www.timucua.com
