Leo Aether @ Timucua

Hola!

Hey guys, here is some video footage of a few songs in my last performance at The Timucua Arts White House. Here you will see a piano version of “Cuando Decimos Adiós”, as well as a tribute performance with much love and respect of “Juancito Caminador”, a song inspired by the poem of Argentinian Raúl González Tuñón. I learnt this beautiful song from an interpretation by La Negra Grande, Mercedes Sosa.

Big thanks to Benoit Glazer for putting this vid together!

Enjoy!

Thank you for listening!!

Leo Aether & Reina Castellanos @ WPRK

Hello!!

After a week filled with amazing energy, which culminated in an unforgettable show at The Timucua Arts White House, all I can say is thank you! It was a true honor sharing with the audience as always, especially in the incredible environment that materializes at the White House.

A thousand thank you’s to Benoit Glazer for his momentous contribution to Orlando’s culture and its community as well as for giving me the opportunity of taking Urbe Prima’s music to Timucua’s incomparable stage.

Last night’s show was video-documented, so I will be posting some great footage of this show pretty soon. In the mean time, I will leave you with footage of Urbe Prima’s and Reina Catellanos‘ interview @ WPRK 91.5 FM at Rollins College, by Jj Pattishall in his amazing show the Mezzu Mare Dispatch.

Hope you have a week full of goodness, and as always, thanks for listening!

New single: “Vendetta”

Hola!!

Finally here it is Urbe Prima’s new single, “Vendetta”. This song was one of the songs out of the Laberintos EP, and one of the songs recorded along with the “Laberintos” album.

In this song, I had the privilege of working with percussionist Justin Sieger, and cellist Yamilet Trujillo. I hope you enjoy this new version of Vendetta released under Tacatantán Records.

This release is a preamble for this Sunday, July 14th show at the prestigious Timucua Arts White House, where I will be playing an acoustic set.

This is all for now.

Thanks for listening, see you soon!

The Impact of The Arts in The Community: Timucua Arts White House

Hello!

Urbe Prima’s next show will happen at The Timucua Arts White House, one of the treasures of the city of Orlando, where music and art have a home for them to be, to truly be. I am very humbled to have the opportunity of sharing my songs in this venue, and wanted to give a little insight as to what you can expect on July 14th.

Here is a review by the Orlando Weekly on this remarkable place:

“The performance space in Benoit Glazer’s home is exquisite, from the brick walls around the stage to the seating balconies to the lighting on the visual artwork. Fill that with the noise of some of the best jazz, classical and experimental acts active today, and we can thank god the musical director for Cirque du Soleil and his musically prodigious family invite the public to share this gift for free. It’s a simple, classy gesture that keeps Orlando from being the cultural wasteland everyone thinks it is.”

Also, here is a TED-talk with The Timucua Arts White House’s founder, and musical director of Cirque de Soleil, Benoit Glazer, and his family, as they describe their fearless journey to create a place for music and art to be shared, all from their living room:

Hope this little write-up encourages you to support this amazing initiative! For more info on their upcoming events, just got to www.timucua.com

Hope to see you the 14th. Thanks for reading!
